This course

In this course, the implementation of value-based healthcare principles in the Catharina Hospital and its catchment area is shared. These principles include the selection of patient-relevant outcome and cost parameters, data collection and data analysis, discussion of outcomes in a multidisciplinary quality committee, collaboration with referring cardiologists and the selection and implementation of quality improvement projects. All these elements are illustrated with real world and scientifically published examples in cardiology. All principles are generic and can be translated to other specialties.
